Working with Modern Day Collective to turn a backyard into a magical and lush garden in Ada, Michigan.
Designing day of stationery and paper goods has been my greatest joy recently. It is incredibly fulfilling to have creative freedom when designing a piece that elevates and adds to the overall event design. The final design was inspired and influenced by the texture, the delicacy, and ambiance that this event was designed to showcase. The combination of letterpress, blind embossing, and digital printing, with the finishing touches of eyelets and personalized name cards, gave this menu immense character. We even designed an alternate menu for their vegan/vegetarian, pescatarian, and gluten free guests!
On private property in Ada, Michigan, many vendors prepared for the day ahead. The 125" foot tent was assembled, hard wood floors and carpet was laid in anticipation of the guests arriving. I've been working with Modern Day Collective for a few months prior to this event, but this was the first time meeting Jennifer, Amanda, and the rest of the team in person. Upon arriving, I was in awe of the beautiful work that was already accomplished at 10:00am, yet there was still much to do. I didn't know what I was expecting for the day ahead, but I was fully immersed into the event design. I was elated.
With some progress already been made, I assisted with the couture linens, organization of the chairs, lighting of the candles, and my favorite part - the placement of the menus I had designed for each guest. We even added a gardenia, freshly cut to each menu and place setting.
The insanely talented vendors a part of this event, with links directly leading to their website:
